What type of engine is this?!??

Hello, I need some help. I am trying to figure what type of engine this may be. It was installed in a 1977 Ford Pick-up. Is there a common type of engine that is used for restoration purposes?

thanks
Alex

I can't tell by that pic. Does the valve covers over lap the intake a little bit? How many valve cover bolts on one side. About all I can tell is that is is not a Dodge Hemi. Can you get more close up pics?

Truck is in DC, I am in Georgia, that's the only pic I can get. I am wondering if the truck is worth $2,000. It's in nice shape, trying to figure out if that engine is halfway decent...

Looks to me like it's either a 302 or 351W. The intake looks a little wide for a 302 so I'm gonna lean more towards 351W. Just my guess.

Ya my first thought was a 351W as well. If the rest of the truck looks as good as that pic than I don't see how you could go wrong.
