Anyone need new bed bolts???
Before any of you get too happy... They are not OEM. I found a place here in Des Moines that will sell me 3-3.5 in long 1/2 diameter carriage bolts in either grade 5 or grade 8.
The only catch is I have to buy a minimum of 40pieces... I figured I would by 42 total bolts and be able to do 7 beds with them... They will not be shanked under the bolts head like fords OEM bolts but they will fit identically to the old ones you cut out. I'll probably even step up from ford's grade 5 to a grade 8 bolt????
If anyone is interested I can ship them out flat rate to you... At my cost is probably around $10... A ton cheaper than what ford wants! $100+ for 6 of the OEM bolts.

Ouch... that still hurts... I think it's rediculous what ford is charging for the bed bolts... I can get a set of 6 grade 5 non-OEM bolts for and mail them out for just under $10... I just put my bed on with them and they work great!
Only thing i didn't realize is that the two nearest to the cab are 1/2in-1in longer... Oops... had to go back and get some more longer bolts...

Exactly... And that is where they list... Not what ford sells them for. I can't usually mail out grade 5 carriage bolts with washers and locknuts for $20ish depending on shipping.

i never tried the carrage bolts, so i don't know how they work
