Anyone tried the Dupli-Color Paint Shop Finish System?

I was looking at the Dupli-Color lacquers and saw that they had a line they call there:
Dupli-Color Paint Shop Finish System, ready to spray, no mixing or reducing. Comes with primer, lacquers, and clear ready to go. Not a lot of colors to select from, but if you need a budget paint job that looks fairly easy, it looks like the way to go.

Has anyone tried this yet or seen the results up close? There are some good videos on youtube and it looks pretty straight forward. Here is the web link to the product:

Dupli-Color :: Paint Shop Finish System

Video of the product being used:

Thanks,
Mal

I havent used it but came close, bought paint at advance auto and everything and then everything I read about it on imnternet said it wasnt as durable as urethane paint and would fade. Plus I found urethane paint from eastwood wasnt that much more expensive per quart than the dupli color so I took it back. But just recently found out that I would need a pricy respirator to spray my truck at home with urethane...like 1200 bucks for a fresh air respirator. I don't know if the dupli color is as bad for your lungs as the urethane though?

It's a lacquer paint and virtually nobody sprays lacquer anymore. But, from what i understand it's a newer version of the old lacquers, so I'm not sure about it. As far as Eastwood paints are concerned, I've used there urethane and their epoxy primers. The epoxy sprays much better as the urethane is VERY thick(of course it doe "build" well where the epoxy doesn't. I've also sprayed Summits single stage urethane paint. I've had issues with it concerning orange peel, but after cutting, compounding and buffing, it looks pretty good! I shoot my cars outside and then buff out all of the garbage. I won't win any awards, but I'm satisfied with the results. Oh, there's plenty of fresh air out outside, I don't get overspray in my garage, and yes, all I use is an organic vapor mask. I've done 5 paint jobs in this manner; besides growing the third arm, I don't think the fumes have affected me...much.

I know lacquer does not hold up as well, chips easier, and might be more prone to fading, but for those of us that don't have lots of paint skill or money it might be OK. I was also looking at the post were people were talking about rolling on Rustoleum, and the Dupli-Color seemed like it would be a lot less work, look better, and maybe hold up better than the Rustoleum.

Lacquer also needs to be rubbed out to gloss - it's alot of work.

If you are on a budget and a little short of painting skills, Acrylic enamel is about the least expensive and pretty forgiving. Yet fot the $$$$ it's very versitile and provides a strong finish.

The paint shop system uses a clear coat so it's pretty much like any other base coat-clear coat system on the gloss.

Hell for my beater I'm just going to rattle can it with some engine enamel.
