Stake Pocket Anchors or Tie Downs

Stake pocket anchors....found this, but it appears to be too big for the stake pockets in my 2010 FX4:

2 pc retractable stake pocket anchors | Tie Down | Medium Duty | Trailer | Princess Auto

I didn't open the package, but did compare the stake pocket opening to the anchor....anchor was too big by about 3/4 to 1 inch.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Dave

Help doing what? They are too big, you should return them.

I prefer these inside the bed:

Ancra Tie-Down Anchor - DennisKirk.com

They also make a track with the same or similar loop part so you can have more location options:

Ancra 72" Tie-down Track (ANC 40467-33-72) - Rack-It

I tried the rubber expanding stake pocket anchors--junk. The pull right out.

I have those bull ring tie downs and they fit fine in my '97. I like them and they work great. I can't comment on the stake hole size of a 2010 as I haven't seen them, but I find it odd that Ford would change the size of the holes.
Are you saying that the (yellow on mine) base won't go into the stake hole? The black plastic cap portion stays above the hole and lays flat on the bed rail.
Other than that, I don't really know what to tell you.

I didn't open the package, but did compare the top flat plate to the stake opening and factory plastic bed rails. The Bull plate is too long by an inch or so....leading to me believing that it would not fit properly. Returned the item immediately. I don't think that I would want to start cutting the plastic bed rail to make the stake anchor fit properly.
