Haven't sat in a '73-'79 truck in 2 years and I've grown quite a bit since then. Right now I'm just under 6'3" and I have a long torso. I should be pretty much done growing since I'm 18. Anyway, I just wanted to get some opinions on what you taller guys think about headroom and leg room in these trucks. I'm kind of thinking my head might touch the rear glass. Also, do the extended cabs have more leg room in the front?
Hey I'm 6' and have miles of room, I have a single cab but I would imagine the crews would have a ton more. Anyways you can always have your seat modified to give you more head room but I dont think you would need to hope this answers your question.
am 6' 4", 280lbs, kinda round through the middle, and also clearance for a cowboy hat. ample leg, gut, and hat room, with the seat mid way back and slid all the way back.
For reference you still have potential for growth until age 24, females usually 21.
But back to trucks, I'm almost 6'6" and 300lbs. I've always got plenty of room. The only seating arrangement that's ever been tight, is me on the back bench of a super cab.
5'-4"... it's a climb to get it with 35s and a 4-inch lift. For me, the interior is as roomy as a mid-70s Cadillac. On the brighter side, I can sit upright under the rig without bonking my head too often.
6'3". I think it has just enough leg room. I keep trying to push the seat back, but mine is a single cab. It's fine for me. If I was 2" taller, might be a problem. Headroom is fine too. I do hit my head when I take a speed bump to fast as I have some stiff shocks.
That's my thing too, I feel to confined if I don't have some extra room open behind me. However, I'm not gonna let comfort overtake the fun factor of these trucks.

Yeah, it something I got over after a while. Took about 3 weeks. I open the back slider a lot even if not needed, to give me a more open feel.
I'm 6'7'' and had to go to a full-size truck after the mini pick-up I was driving was getting too small. I fit in my 76 F-100 pretty good, but I have a bit more leg room in my 91 F-250.
im 6'5 and my truck has been chopped 4 inches out of the cab so i have little to know clearence for head room plus im about to cut the bottom plate out of the cab and and lower it so seat can sit even lower but you should have enough room with a regular cab
I go 6"7' and around 250, and I fit fine in my regular cab. From the rear window it looks as though my head is against the ceiling, but it's not. I've had it bucking pretty hard during some truck pulls and never hit my head on the headliner. There is plenty of leg room too.
