What tuner to buy?
Hey guys. Doing a little research here on tuners. The guys over at the Explorer Forum live by SCT tunes/tuners. My searching on here has me believing that each and everyone of you likes to use something different: Edge, BullyDog, Superchips.
There's a mustang guy here in town that is a SCT dealer. He has an in-floor dyno and says that he can build me some custom tunes while we have the SCrew strapped down to the dyno.
Any thoughts you can lend would be awesome.
Thanks!
Oh, I want to stay on 87 octane by the way.

as a matter of fact, i just uploaded the hyper-tech max energy about 2 hours ago, and boy oh boy, that was a great decision on my part. i also got the spectre CAI running with a flowmast 40 series..... def feels like a whole new truck. but dont let me sway you if your guy is gonna hook you up on the dyno. this was just easier for me to do in 20 minutes in my driveway..oh yeah , im running the 87 octane tune.... you have a premium option as well

A dyno tune can be the best, providing the tuner has extensive experience with F150s. Tuning a Mustang is not the same as tuning an F150.
I recommend you consider one of these with custom tunes:
Programming Devices>>Company Info Links
SCT>>5 Star Tuning | Custom Dynomemeter Chassis Tuning Products and Services (forum sponsor)
SCT>>VMP Tuning Inc
Gryphon/SCT>>Power Hungry Performance - Feed your hunger for POWER!
SCT>>Troyer Performance (very long lead times)

I can't blame them for that. The $$$ is in the dyno, not the email. Thanks again for the info Charlie. I'm quickly learning A LOT about my SCrew and I'm loving it.
I'm glad to find more "useful" information here than on the ExplorerForum I was on with my old vehicle. They just bantered often, and mostly it was ego driven.
