Hi all, Triple XXX Rootbeer Drive-in in Issaquah will be having an "All Ford" car show in their parking lot on Sunday morning, September 12th, starting at 8:00am. See my posting #16 on this topic for more details: http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/98...-wa-peeps.html . I don't consider my truck to be a show truck yet, but I'm going to be there anyway, just for the fun of it. It would be great to meet some of you.

I've never been to this particular show, but I've been to their 55-57 Chevy show, and a few others, and the place was packed. They take over parking lot of the office building nextdoor. It seems like most shows start to die down around 12 noon. I've been on Front St. on my way to work around that time on Sundays, and it seemed like a lot of show cars were heading home.
As of 8 pm Saturday night, the KOMO news website says, "Look for some light rain to fall Saturday night into Sunday morning, especially through our northwestern corner (the Strait, San Juans, Whatcom County)."
So, if I don't wake up to a downpour on Sunday morning, I'll be going to the show.

There were very few trucks there amongst a sea of Mustangs, Fairlanes, etc., and it seemed like there weren't many truck-enthusiast type people there, either. I had a few guys check out my truck and ask me about it, and I got a few compliments on it, but most people walked right by it like it was invisible. One of the guys who was running the show told me that next year's show will be on a Sunday in the middle of September, either the 11th or the 18th. I'm hoping some of you will be able to go, so that we can show them that trucks can be just as cool and show-worthy as Mustangs!
