And a good morning from the new guy! Cold here this morning, about 45 at 5:30. Headed out to deer camp in a little bit, two more days and bow season is here. My dogs, Rocky an English Setter and Pipe a Wire Haired Griffon are out cold from spending the day at camp yesterday. Old bird dogs, kind of like me!

Very cool, we were at 51 here this morning, not much warmer. Downsea, ever headed to Fletchers pond?

Yep, I used to go there with my Dad and Grandfather in the early '70s for pike. We get out there a few times each ice season but mostly go to Long, Grand and Hubbard ice fishing. Summer we hit the big water and Long and Hubbard lakes mostly. Good times at Fletchers all year though.

So far I have six partridge. That'll probably be it for this year. I'll take a few days from bow season for goose later in October. Got to have geese for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners!
Fishing and hunting with your children is great. I love it. My son brings our grandson in the summer and winter for fishing. Try an ice fishing weekend on Fletchers some time. You can rent a heated shanty and they'll actually take you out and pick you up. I think they'll even bring you bait. Take some sandwiches, snacks and drinks and have fun with the pan fish. If you would need to borrow some gear I can help there no problem.

Out to camp

I have been limited to my read and post times. My wife had a total hip replacement two weeks ago and I have been nurse, cook, go-fer, shopper and laundry man and dish washer, vac driver and on and on....So time to myself has been limited..Today we go and have staples removed and hopefully a shower will be in order and that's one complaint I will not miss..It's been a long two weeks and now I see daylight and so does she. A walker and a cane will be needed as she gets those mussels built back up, but that's ok..at least she can move around now.
I'll have to look around and see about the paid membership.
Once again..Thank you
Had mine done just over a year ago she should do fine make her use it. I'm not ready to run to town but I can sure walk. John 70 yrs old.
