chrome and powder coating

hi, does anyone know if you can powder coat over chrome. and what steps to do so thanks rob

I would think so as it's metal. If it was me, I'd sand blast it to "etch" the metal in order to give the chrome some "tooth" for the powder coating. After blasting, I blow off the dust and wipe mine down with brake cleaner to get rid of any other contaminates.

You could powder coat it, but like nut said, it probably won't stick. About the only 2 things known to stick to chrome plating is road tar and bug guts.

powder coating

hello, what i have is a 1950 ford f1, there is two handles on the hood one opens the hood the other is a dummy one is pitted no one has a good one thanks rob
