Since I'm rebuildign the block, I want to paint it the same color as the truck. The truck is the standard Vermillion I think it's called, but am looking at maybe something candy-apple-ish red, or maybe a shade darker. I dunno, just lookign for advice. What y'all got for me?

Pink???

I'm a Ford guy, so if mine comes out, it'll be Ford Blue. Red or orange reminds me of Chevy or Mopar (yuck-spit).......

my block will be orange with everything else Ford blue...a bright color on the block will make for finding oil, fuel and exhaust leaks a breeze even at night....almost like it is now

Shhhh. Let's not go there. I don't feel like pulling an engine just to get it painted.

Oh, and Danny, I agree with Joe. I'd go Ford Blue on the block. Black oil will show up on blue just fine if you're chasing leaks.

Danny, I'm looking into it. Getting in touch with my brother. He restored an old Farmall tractor with a deep red color....engine block and all.....All I know is it was a high quality heat resistant paint (about $100/gallon!), but it looks great.

Paint it IH grey like this but on a 7.3L PSD.

I had my '62 Falcon painted metallic cherry red and it was a shade or so darker than candy apple red.

Man you guys ain't helping any- PINK?? YELLOW?? This ain't a clown car LMAO!! IH grey is too old school, but I have painted marine blocks grey! I will admit that the only reason I considered doing it in red is because when I did the intake, turbo, and IC pipes it looked pretty damn good. But seeing Ron's rainbow, that Ford blue does look nice. Funny thing is it looks alot like MOPAR blue I used on my boat's 440 LOL.

BTW- those fuel lines are all custom bent and done up by myself- so don't go givin' credit to some company. I'm acutally gonna make some HPX lines (not hoses- they go bad) and sell them a helluva lot cheaper than anyone else. Any takers? I need money for my engine rebuild LOL!

I've noticed pics of Ford Blue don't look quite right, but it does in person. The 351W I put in my Mustang GT looked great in Ford Blue!

Danny I think you have your boots on backwards.... Those look an awful lot like the boots that go to the IC from the pipes not the spider to the pipes...

A purist would say of it's going to be red, you should go with IH red.

You can buy rattle cans of International Harvester red at most farm & ranch stores.

If his boots were on backwards, I think he'd fall down.
