Going to the salvage yard tomorrow, there is a few intermitant wiper switches and indy pace trucks, is there anything I sould keep a look out for, there is 30 dentside trucks, some 1 ton dullies, going to get the wipers switches and the indy trim along with the aluminum rims. is there any indy parts or other items that are good to look for?

I always like to grab xtra U-nuts and bolts, trims screws, wiper *****, glove compartment lights & harnesses, plain cowl emblems (F-100), spark plug wire organizer that go on top of factory valve covers, the bendable metal clips for the ignition wiring harness running along the driver's side valve cover, wiring loom clips that secure the harness to the fender, carb return springs, washer T-fittings, tailight and headlight trim ring screws, the nylon screw receptacles for the side marker lights, and soft rubber grommets and plugs.

Rarities include virgin door speaker wiring harnesses, factory pushbars/bullbars, factory west coast and junior west coast mirrors and and brackets, and contour (rear)bumper wiring harnesses and lense caps.

An FTE member stated that Bushwacker no longer reproduces Dentside cut-out flares so that might be gold if you can piece together a set and put them up for sale.

EDIT: Autolite 4100 carburetors!!! Us early Mustang owners love'em.

Goodness grief; 30 dentsides in one junk yard? The most I've ever seen at a pick and pull is 5 or 6 and I thought that was a lucky day. Even then, they're picked to the bone.

Pic to prove

Well then I am setting on a gold mine, there are like 75 to 100 of them 4 miles from my house. Crew cabs, High Boys ect..... farm truck and the like, rust is an little issue around here.

The worst I have to deal with is the owners son is a Ford truck guy to, but we have a real good understanding and he calls me when a new one hits the yard.

I worked hard to get that, had to pass on some good parts, but it traded out in the end.

BTW my location is incorrect, lol. And those HB springs will look in my parts lot.

More proof

Check out how a cab less Camper Special made that chebby or dakota show its underside in the back ground. LMAO

The others are Crew Cab ****, nice door panels IMO, gonna grab them and put on FTE classifieds. I buy cheap and sale cheap, discount to FTE folks.

scott78f2504x4 a word to the wise, grab what you can today, it will be gone tomorrow.

Anyone know where the closest one of these junkyards is to VA? I am in desperate need of some parts. The local yards here dont even have 1-ton trucks...or anything older than '85 and newer than '95

I even tried the local BIG junkyard (the one they advertise on TV and radio 24/7) Well, they don't even have any 3/4 or 1-tons trucks of any year...

Man a lot of these trucks looked like they could have been easily fixed before parting them out! The crews dont have rust on the roof either from what I can see. Man I love that yellow and brown crew! Take some more pics of it and post when you can.

77&79F-250. Where are all those trucks if you dont mind me asking? I'm just on the IL side of STL but I have a good friend who lives in Springfield MO. If you want to keep it off a public board thats cool too. I don't really need anything so bad that I'd probably drive that far anyway. I've got my truck about done but its still neat to look. I still need to find a wiper delay set up and a few misc items.
