I just received my DPF-R upgrade in the mail today. It's the new + Economy/Towing tune. Took the truck immediately on the Interstate and the needle was buried in seconds and the RPM gauge was still increasing. The power is very noticeable, upgrading from stock. I can just imagine the Spartan guys running the 275 hp tune... YIKES... As far as fuel mileage goes, the rep told me a minimum of 5 mpg increase so we will see about that in a couple of weeks. If anybody has any questions, feel free to ask... Oh yeah, the exhaust sounds louder at idle and so is the turbo whistle. I have no idea why, but I like it.

I get 5 mpg based on fuel fleet reports. That is an average of city, idling, hauling, and snow plowing.
Just doing alot of research before I modify my truck and possibly void my warranty.

Rocker arms are breaking at 100,000 miles! The regen process is very hard on a motor, a good ford mechanic will tell you that! also your oil will stay cleaner longer, the only reason there is a DPF on the truck is government regulations....it is NOT for the benefit of the customer or the truck!!! The DPF 4.0 is the greatest item I have put on this truck...no tune just the delete, truck has been trouble free for approx 80,000 km's, the first 18,000 where non stop dealer trips!!! Wait till you need to replace the filter ($1200)! And as far as the environment.....you know how much energy it takes to make a gallon of fuel (fuel savings is substancial!!), when this is in regen mode it burns out all the soot it saved up and will not pass emissions at this time?!?!!?, what happens to the worn out/plugged DPF?? this technology came so fast any one I talked to said they don't know what happens to these filters. Politicions look good to tree huggers but the hard working common sense folk are a bit confused!! But what dio I know I'm a dumb Canadian?! lol

SOME rocker arms may be breaking by 100,000 miles.

I kept a close eye on the RPM's, after about 3100 it stayed pretty steady. No I do not have any gauges. I don't haul or pull anything though. I was thinking of getting the Banks monitor. I like the monitors that plug right into the OBD port. Do you know any other company that makes a monitor like that, that monitors EGT's, boost, etc?
Thanks..
Thanks..
Lower? Higher? Same?
