How hard is it to replace lug nut studs?

Unfortunately you have to take both the front and rear hubs off. Neither one of them is hard except for maybe having the right tools to take the hubs apart. The back is like a 2 1/8 or 2 1/4 socket although a screwdriver and hammer can work. You have the socket to take your front hubs apart? Other than that you just pound them out with a hammer and then put the new ones in and use a long socket or punch as a spacer to hammer then new ones in.

I ended up replacing all the studs on my two front rotors. Like he said, you gotta take the hubs off. Figure on at least repacking your bearings. Unfortunately for me, the more I took apart, the more I found until I ended up re-doing everything but the pumpkin. The studs popped out just fine with a hammer, but the new ones were a real mother to get pulled in. Ended up taking them up to a shop I know and payin' em $40 to pull 'em in place with their 3/4" impact. Killed about five lug nuts doing it too. Still took him a good 20 mins to do all of 'em. I got my new studs at oreilly, and I don't know if they were just a small bit bigger or what, but it was more than anything I had to twist 'em on with would do. It's a good time to do your brakes and get your rotors turned if they're close to needing it, cause you have to pop out the studs to get the rotors off if they need turning or replacing.
