September GTG ideas?

Since getting together and having a good time is what we do best around here (at least that's my experience...)...

I know Joe (soondg) was talking about doing something down his way, and Eric (High Intentions) threw out the idea at one point about a gathering at one of the state parks. Last Blast of Summer happens out my way on September 19 - which is a big car/truck show. That's a Sunday, which might be travel-prohibitive for some.

Just thought I'd toss it out there and see what anyone is up for or what may or may not be going on. We have some new chapter faces; might be a good way to meet them and such too.

Discussion, questions, comments?

What part of the PA is Laurel Highlands in?

FWIW, I know this is entering into NJ but the Diesel Nationals are coming up later this month @ raceway Park in Englishtown NJ. Also have the fall swap meet and car/truck show the following week. The swap meet runs Friday through Sunday. Truck show day is Saturday..

Man, this is a rough bunch...I'm getting my behind kicked on this one...lol.

Joe, Laurel Highlands is a region about 60 miles or so east of Pittsburgh...the Johnstown/Altoona/Somerset area. That has never stopped me from showing up at GTG events in Maryland, NJ, and Delaware though...lol

I had posted something about Irish weekend at the Jersey shore, a great time and car show also. I did change my lodging though, my buddy offered me his place in the Villas. The price is right and I'd rather rent a house instead of a hotel room any day.

Joe-(Mexicanscraper), I'm in your area, maybe we can get together for a mini-mini meet. I'm at Ford and Newportville Rd. in Fergusonville. Actually on the corner of Newportville and Willow, just look in the back for my green Bronco.

Well the weekend is just about over and the party has been great, lots and lots of nice cars and trucks on the boardwalk the last two days. Tomorrow is the last day for the Irish weekend celebration in North Wildwood, so, I'm jumping over to Ocean City for the Corvettes on the boards then back to Wildwood for the Eagles game. It would have been great if some of you guys had come on down, I tried to hook up with Matt but we keep missing one another. I'll try again tomorrow.
