Mis Fire in Cylinder 2 and 8 Or thats what it says anyway

Well just put a new exhaust on my truck and every time im at WOT it would stutter or run rough not horrible but a noticible amount. So my check engine light started flashing the other day as my truck was running like crap even when i barley pushed on gas. So i turned it off turned back on and now its fine except for when i put the pedal to the floor. So the check engine light is still on but not flashing anymore and i pulled the codes and it says misfire in cylinder 2 and 8.

My questions are
-Can the exhaust be causing this
-Could it be Coils or spark plugs(Truck has 85,000 miles)
-Is this the cam phaser that almost everyone seems to have trouble with.
-Or any ideas of something else that may be causing this

Thanks for all your input

Time for a tune-up anyway so start there, and while your at it look for exhaust leaks.

If there's a serious blockage it could. A significant amount of back pressure will cause misfiring.

Seems to be alot of misfiring on the board here the last couple of days...

What kind of muffler was it? You can also move around the #2 and #8 COP and injector to other cylinders and see if the misfire code follows them. If so you know it's not the muffler.

Oh, you can also try reseting the PCM...low probablility it will fix your prob, but worth a try.

If you have 85k your probably due the plugs anyway. Follow the TSB and have a Lisle 65600 tool kit on hand. Let the plugs soak overnight. I replaced my plugs and COPs @ 71k with Champion #7989 one piece plugs and Accel #140033 COPs. the COPs I got from Summit for about $280 for the set.
