Truck Buying Advice Needed

Wanted to consult the experts here....

Been getting the truck itch again. Was going to pull the plug and get a 2010 F-150 Supercrew Lariat, but the boss said no, since she wants us to take care of some home improvement projects and some other stuff. Since I dream all day long on Craigslist, I came across a 2006 F-250 Supercrew Lariat 4X4 with just a little under 150k miles. From the looks of the rig, she looks good. The seller wants $20900 for it, but have them down to $19800 for it. Is this too much for this truck? I came across a few more with less miles, but some of the interior bits appear to be worn/torn.

Also, are these diesel motors pretty easy to service? I'm a BMW gearhead, but have never touched a diesel engine before.

Here are a couple of pics of the truck...

Cheers,
Dan

Nice looking Truck! I would get a Ford dealer to pull a Oasis Report to look up any warranty work or other issues that made have been completed on the truck.

Good luck!

My guess if the Boss say's no on the 2010 F-150
it'll be No on the 2006 SD. No?

Thanks for the advice guys. The boss said no the F-150, since it was around $15k more than this truck I'm looking at.

Also, thanks for the Oasis recommendation. Only one related issue turned up....some fuel injector module (?). I'll ask for some more pics in regards to the bed not lining up to the cab. I did notice that as well.

Regards,
Dan

I think it looks good. You might want to get the Carfax report also, if you really want to buy it. Good luck.
