82 f150 16gal side tank 5.8l ,just replaced my sending unit and of course the plastic vent hose nipple broke off when I tried to remove the vent hose .anybody know where to get these ? its the single nipple style . saw one at lmc for about 25 bucks but anywhere else? guess I really need to fix it since its 4wd and used off road, mudd / water etc plus if you top off the tank it could leak out ? also still have the canister up front in good shape but we dont have smog testing here . still has orignal locking gas cap . thanks

 

Your best bet is to buy a new one as it won't be brittle. Junkyard hunting should get you one cheaper though.

 

Just for your info, that fitting also has a "roll-over" valve inside it. In case you turn the truck over, it plugs the vent so fuel won't leak out.
