Can I play?

Running, tagged and insured at the house

-97 F350-This is the truck I always wanted. Reg Cab 4x4 SRW EFI 460. I have big plans for low lift with 37s and some big time power mods to the big block
-01 Expedition-keeping this one mostly stock. I have a baby on the way and needed something to haul the kid around (and room to grow because this one isn't going to be the last). But…a lightning motor, E-locker from a new FX4, and 35s with sheet metal trimming and no lift would make an interesting project
-2010 Mustang GT-The wife's car. There are some big power mods to come but she's having fun smoking the import guys in town now.
-and the Mother-in-Law's 01 Dodge Durango. All I can say is

Stored or work in progress

-65 Mustang-the 250 I6 runs great, but it has no brakes and the body looks like swiss cheese
-65 Galaxie-just got it running after it set for over 20 years. My Grandpa bought this car in 67 and sold it to me a few years ago for a dollar. He's in the hospital now and it doesn't look good, so this car is my new priority after the wife and kid
-78 Mustang II-a little coupe I bought in high school. Runs great, but likes to overheat. This car is nowhere near stock anymore and is very, very fast. If I could only keep the water cool enough to get to the track I'd tell you how fast it is.
-78 F150 4x4-waiting for me to weld the steering box back to the frame. It was knocked off after a gray haired lady pulled out in front of me. After I fix it, I'll probably sell it, seeing that I don't need it

Sold or other

-63 Galaxie-one time in high school I got 13 people in this four door and we cruised all night. I blew the trans during a neutral drop shortly after. This one set in my grandpa's barn until he sold me the 65. Sadly I sold this one on EBay but got more than I paid for it even with the bad trans.
-78 Courier-a great little truck that I inherited when my other grandpa died. My old man traded it for a tractor while I was at basic training.
-83 Jeep Grand Wagoneer-the only non-Ford I ever own but here was enough Autolite and Motorcraft parts under the hood it didn't feel too bad. Great off road, very nice on road, the AMC 360 was strong, but the Dodge trans was weak. After trans failure, I EBayed the motor, gave away the axles, and scraped the rusted rest. All in all I think it was a good $600 toy
-98 Ranger-Sold this one last week. This was a great one, rock crawled, mud bogged, beach combed, and road tripped, but I have two 4x4s now and a baby on the way. Something had to give
-00 F150-bought new. It was an ext. cab long bed 4x4 xlt. Was an okay truck overall but the 4.6 has to be the worst engine Ford ever put in a truck
-00 F150-traded the first 00 on a new left over model in Feb of 01. Reg cab 4x4 long box xlt. The 5.4 was a much better engine but flipping that first truck was one of the worst financial decisions I ever made.
-01 F350-Reg Cab SRW 4x4. This was a great truck. The V10 was powerful but lacked the low end torque that I was expecting. I probably would still have this one, even if I couldn't get the power steering to stop leaking, but I just got to where I didn't need such a big truck.
-06 F150-For the wife, Supercrew FX4. The first thing I did when I married my wife was make her sell her Acura and buy a Ford. If it wasn't for an exploding sparkplug we would still have this one. Sold it outright to a Chevy dealer in ND for 2K more than we paid for it in Fl.

Sorry for the long post. I started reminiscing and couldn't stop.

I don't mind the rambling. I like your mixture of cars as you begin your family life. I'm in a similar situation and my wife has the mustang and we have a large SUV for the future kiddos and I have my favorite in my 77 rig. Congrats on the baby and good luck. Love the projects you have....those will be some nice rides if you get them on the road and prettied up.
