Is 3" body lift good for my 97 exp or just waste of money.
just few day ago i had 3 inch body lift installed on my 97 exp and i had new oversize tires BF Good. All Teren. put on 315-75-16 which gave it additional 2". friend of mine told me springs will go out in less than year and body lift is just waste of time and money even tho it looks pretty good. i didn't really look around too much to check if it is good or bad so here i am asking you ppl to help me out and let me know what do you think.

i don't think it's waste of money because exp looks really nice i didn't notice any change in ride it's softer now since i have brand new tires and car still acts the same. but i'm concerned if there is some "side effects" to that. like i mentioned springs going out or getting loose or maybe something else being broken down the road.
just kind of trying to get scoop from ppl that have don't lifts on their exps or f150s ...

Well the body lift will not change the way the truck rides. It only lifts the body from the frame. The larger tires will change the way it rides. That's one advantage to getting a body lift, compared to lifting the truck via the suspension.
I also had a 3" body lift to my last truck, a 1998 Ford F150 4X4. I had it for 2 1/2 years and never had any problem. I haev only had my Expedition lifted for 3 months, but so far no problem. I asked a lot of exerts before I had the Expedition lifted. I was told they are a little top heavy, and not to lift it too much for safety reasons. That's why I went with the 2" lift instead of the 3". I'm not sure where you are located but there's a lot of good truck places that could explain more to you. I would find someone that has been lifting trucks for a while that knows a lot of pro's and con's before making your decision. You're pretty safe with a body lift, because it doesn't change much about the truck. It's pretty much a cosmetic thing, to make the truck higher and be able to fit bigger tires. And it doesn't cost too much.
I think you'll be happy with the body lift. It doesn't cost much and really adds a great look to the truck. I have people compliment me on my truck everywhere I go.
GOod luck with your decision!
