Air Duct Noise, Heating & Air Conditioning
I just bought a used 2007 F-150 with only 21K miles on it. The only issue I've noticed so far is a noise coming from the dampers for the air ducts. Its mainly when I use the defrost mode, but can hear it whenever the dampers shift to other positions as well. I said something to the dealer where I bought it and of course their answer was it's common on those vehicles, just turn the fan speed all the way down and then push the mode you want. Well that doesnt make a bit of difference.
Anyone else experience this problem with their truck?
The dealer said if I really wanted it fixed then they would have to take the whole dash out, which I'm not sure if I really want that to happen. Who knows what might go wrong next then.

Yea I had the same noises happen to me I think. I normally hear a noise when switching fans but what really got to me was during a road trip with some buddies. I had the air going and was switching between max a regular when I began to hear like a metallic squeaking or thumping. It felt kind of embarrassing to have my buddies hear that in my new truck but I couldn't do much. I haven't replicated it again but, I know its there
