New Rebate Incentives in Sept.???

Anyone have a crystal ball or know the inside scoop on what the new incentives will be in Sept. on F-150's.

The Dealership I was at today said after Labor Day the rebate incentives will change. I really doubt they will be go backwards but who knows.

Usually Ford Truck Month is around late Sept and goes through October. They usually do 0% financing or decent cash off deals.

According to my dealer in Houston, 0% for 60 mo through Ford Finance or up to $3500 cash back. They said good through 10-4-2010. I took the 3500 cash back and opted for the higher interest rate and refinance at local bank for 3.99 interest.

I took the $3,500 and got financing at 2.69% from Chase bank. You've got to have good credit though.

I bought a 2010 Lariat 4x4 5.4L w/ chrome package about 3 weeks ago... At that time I took all I could get. When did you hear about the $6000 rebates?

Checked w/ chase and they have only 3.71 for 48 mo and 3.81 for 60 mo available for my zip code. Did you finance yours for < 48 mo? that may be the difference...

No, 60mo's. My dealer got it for me through Chase. He jokingly said not to tell anyone what a low rate I got. My credit score is 780 so I'm sure that helped!!

Yeah 780 is pretty good. Mine is 750, so I should be able to get it close.

buying new 2010 Lariat

I am shopping for my third new f150 and will be purchasing a 2010 Lariat 4x4 loaded with most options. MSRP is around $47k. Right now I have a couple of dealers that have discounted price apprx 21% to 37K.

Do you think I can do any better? If so, what are your suggestions. I just found a couple of rebates on the net tonight. One is for 'customer loyalty' and it varies from $500 to $2500 but I haven't found any details. I will call a dealer tomorrow and ask about it.

There is also the $1000 rebate with ford financing. I called ford finance to ask about details and the customer service rep really couldnt give me any info. He said it was up to dealer to decide on requirements. So if you re-finance through another bank a few weeks later will there be a 'fee' or penalty from ford?

Thanks, JP

If were able to get a 3.9% or lower than you would have no reason to refi. Don't forget, finance rates are as negotiable as the bottom line of the truck, it's your money. Good luck and welcome to FTE.

IMO, that is a pretty good deal, although I am sure others will disagree. You probably will not get 3.9 from Ford Finance. If you take the xtra $1000 and finance with them, they will want you to make at least 3 payments to them before refinancing at a lower rate with another lender. I am not sure what the penalties if any there are, but that is another thing to ask your dealer today.

I am pretty sure that the dealers price already reflects the cash back incentives. If you choose to finance a 0%, the cash back incentives will disappear. If you are going to keep your truck until it is paid off, the 0% in my opinion, is the way to go. If you are going to buy within the next couple of years, the cash back option is the way I would go to help you get right side up when you sell/ trade it.
