My truck is not selling

I wonder why. It is a great deal.

6.9 Ltr diesel that so many have looked at it said it was purring like a kitten.

I had it on craigs list. New tires, brakes (including drums and rotors).

Seriously what am I doing wrong?

Tim

Tell us a little more about it and we'll try to figure it out. Overall condition, mods, price. I takes a certain type of person to buy an older diesel, they are not as efficient or as powerful as a newer, computer controlled engine. Myself, I like the older IDIs, have owned several 7.3s in F250s and up to a F450, all non-turbo.

Motor starts and runs great
<!--[if !supportLineBreakNewLine]-->
<!--[endif]-->
  • Windshield
    • New windshield glass
    • New windshield wipers
    • New windshield fluid motor
  • Tires
    • 4 new tires (less than 500 miles on them)
  • Brakes
    • Rear – new drums, new shoes, new spring kit, new brake cylinders
    • Front – new rotors, new pads.
    • New master cylinder
  • Batteries/Starting system
    • Two new batteries
    • New battery connectors (well…replaced the ones that needed replacing)
    • New starter (approx 1 year old now – first thing installed)
  • Block heater will need a new plug…(but worked until the old plug wires broke)
  • Interior
    • New dash skin – installed on old dash very nicely (just needs screwed back into dash in)
    • I disassembled the whole dash and ventilation system to clean it out and get the mud-daubers hornet’s old nests out (yes…some as big as my fist)
    • Will need a R12 charging (low pressure keeps the compressor from kicking in)
  • Exterior
    • New U-joint installed just in front of the differential
    • New caster bearings installed
    • New side mirrors – installed
  • Books
    • Haynes Repair Manual
    • Chilton Repair Manual
<o> </o>
<o> </o>
And I offer the following for an additonal 400 if they want it…if not I will sell it on Ebay.

Sounds like the truck is worth what you are asking, just as I said before, you will have to wait until someone who wants an older diesel comes along.

Can you drive it? I would assume from the list of things you have already done that you could drive it everyday if you wanted to. Am I correct in thinking this?

It is very driveable. I am driving my 4WD drive truck currently...can't really drive two trucks.

Maybe. The Danger Ranger needs a rest and I need something to drive while I do some much needed work on the ranger.

Hey Will, you weren't in Mtn View today, were you? A little black Ranger with "Danger Ranger" written in the back window swung through the parking lot of the Chevy dealer where I work.

No it wasn't me. Mine is white and it has some scars from the danger it has been in, no sign. I have hit so much crap with that truck and almost hit so much more. I was going to work one night and was between Bryant and Alexander on I-30. There is a place there where no street lights are around and the road is dark. I'm rolling along about 70 when I see this huge black crate in my lane. This thing was bigger than my truck! I barely missed it! I have hit a deer, a very large dog, 18 wheeler tires, and other assorted trash with that truck while rolling down the highway. I nearly hit a sofa one day! That is how it got the name Danger Ranger. My daughter wants the truck when she turns 16 but I don't know about that.
