On mine, I think it is a combo of screws and an adhesive.

Thats how I remember the Lariat LE's being as well, 8 screws and the non-reusable gasket which has some really strong adhesive...

2002 F350V10 is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
There is a diagram of this in my 02 oem ford superduty shop manual.
