Old member just don't post much.

I have a 1955 school bus conversion to tailgater vehicle.

The rear springs are going and I need to replace. Any ideas? The ideal is if I can find a newer truck that will match up, any ideas on what years would work?

I thought about having them re-arched, but I don't know if they are too far gone or how long they would last and the $$$.

I am going to head out to the are bone yards and measure up the buses out there and hope I get lucky. I believe the rears are about 51" to the centers of the mounting brackets.

 

Nice Bus! I'd go for the re-arch. A good spring shop can rebuild the spring packs, add an extra main and you'll be good to go for a good long time.
