he is using the SCT Livewire tuner..

I stopped in San Antonio at the beginning of the month to pickup a stock F250 takeoff bumper and the shop was working on 3 DPF deletes, using SCT tuners..

Thats a pretty low EGT. must not be romping on it much. Mine will easily hit 1400 on the floor with the spartan 250 tune.

Texas450 I am not trying to thread jack here, but noticed that you were into hotshotting and also from your picture it looked like you were near the carsport in Katy; I live just off of FM1093 and 99. I just picked up an 08 F350 DRW a week ago and gonna try my hand at hotshots but I am new to the whole thing and would love to talk to you about it since we are in the same area.

Awesome on your upgrade and fuel mileage as well. I was just talking with my buddy last week about possibly doing this on our trucks; he has an 08 F250. My lie-o-meter has been staying at 13.5 unloaded, but I have not done any hand calcs yet. After seeing all of the stories on this board I am quite interested in going this route myself especially if I can get the hotshot deal going for me.

I took it off at a buddys place that lives n katy then went to o rileys down the road. That's where I took the pic....I live in the spring~woodlands area. Hot shotting Is a great way to make a living if you like travel by truck. I have seen many people come and go and the only way to make it is to be disipline when you get a big check and do what ever it takes to get the job done legally.

Texas450 thanks for the reply, The Woodlands is a very nice area we thought about moving there but Katy at the time seemed like a better drive to the city (how things have changed in 5 years). I have been in the corporate world now way too long so or goal is to find something I can do for a while and at the same time work on a business venture I have had on the backburner for the last 4 years, while my wife was in nursing school. I am hoping hotshotting will allow me the opportunity to work for myself and control my free days a bit more.

Can I shoot you an email so that I am not killing the thread on your truck mods. Plus I really want to here more about the mileage increase. My email is mhasan107@hotmail.com if you get a chance could you email me with your email?

Thanks
Mikal

Result is in for extreme tune....was able to drive 500 miles on one tank that's 12.5 mpg that's a mix of loaded and unloaded city mostly 70% 30% fwy. I switched to preformance tune now... Its not as nice as extreme. It feels very stockish....no awesome power and less jet sound... Will keep updated

Get that thing out on the highway and watch the MGP's go up! That is where I noticed it the most. Either way.... one thing I can guarantee is that the grin on your face will not go away for a long long time!

What size tank do you have? I think standard on your configuration is a 35 gallon if I am right. Have you thought about getting a Titan 50 gallon tank? I would love to have that additional range!

8~9 with that much weight. Drive pretty much the same on preformance tune. Never tried with extreme tune though....which is way more fun to drive!
