Question about "Rotunda" locking gas caps...

I have a 1965 F100 Standard Cab Long Bed and I've been searching for a OEM/NOS locking gas cap for it. Number Dummy "Bill" located a few of the original/standard factory installed gas cap for me awhile ago. But I'm really looking for a locking one. My original copies of 1965 & 1966 Ford Truck Parts and Accessories Catalog along with the car versions of these catalogs list several "Rotunda" locking gas caps:

C4RZ9030A (Rotunda Sales No. R32-A) - fits E100, Fairlane Station Wagon (S/W) & Falcon (except S/W).
C4RZ9030B (Rotunda Sales No. R32-B) - fits Galaxie (S/W) & Fairlane (except S/W).
C4RZ9030C (Rotunda Sales No. R32-C) - fits F100/1100, T700/950, C550/1100, etc. & Galaxie (except S/W).

I've found "R32-A" and "R32-B" on a couple of NOS dealers websites but no "R32-C". Since this is the one listed in my factory parts catalogs as correct for my 65' F100, this is the one I need...or so I think so because I know that Ford was notorious for issuing different part #'s for the exact same part according to vehicle model series. So I suspect that "R32-A" might fit due to it's listed for E100, but this is just a guess. Can anybody help me with my search (Number Dummy...etc.)? thanks...Ryan

Ford replaced the Rotunda part numbers with Auto-Lite part numbers. In 1973, after Ford sold Auto-Lite, these numbers became Motorcraft part numbers.

C4RZ9030C (Rotunda Sales No. R32-C replaced by Motorcraft FC91)
Fits: 1961/66 F100/1100 / 1967/72 F100/750 (1970/72 F100 w/o Evaporative Emission) / Fits other misc 1961/77 big trucks / Does not fit any year Econoline.

B & L FORD in Ashland PA has 1 = 570-875-4417.

MANDERBACH FORD in Temple PA has 1 = 888-225-4364.

ANTIQUE AUTO SUPPLY in Arlington TX has 1 = 817-275-2381.

WESLEY OBSOLETE PARTS in Liberty KY has 1 = 606-787-5293.

CARPENTER NOS OBSOLETE PARTS in Concord NC has 23 = 704-786-8139.

You need a better parts catalog! Swing on by, I'll loan you my CD of the 1964/72 Ford Truck Parts Catalog so you can download it into your 'puter.

I'm 100' from the Whittier city limits-top of the hill-west of Colima-south of the power poles.

I for one would not use a gas cap that has had the seals degrading for the last 40 odd years.

It is like purchasing a NOS 66 radiator hose......
