just like it says!! both were replaced about 9 months ago. my truck sat in the driveway for 11 days untouched, the radar detector was plugged in. it sits like this all the time and this hasnt happened since the new batteries. is that enough to kill 2 batteries??? oh yeah, im leaving town in about an hour. i trust she'll take care of me!! maybe hope....

What brand batteries?I have had Wal-Mart batteries go grave yard dead in 9-10 months
First I would have the batteries checked then if good try to find if there is a draw on them
My truck sits a couple weeks at the time with radar detector and GPS plugged in an never killed the batteries

So far after a couple years (about 22k miles) I like it fairly well.Economical transportation (20 mph 24-26 hiway) and pretty trouble free except a bad ECM when I first bought it.Now has 133k miles

Just something to check- A couple months back I came out after a couple weeks of not driving the old girl and batts were dead. Charged them & it started up. Later that evening I went out to check something and found the light in the glovebox was on. Door was just slightly hung up on my bag full of spare cps parts. No trouble since I cleaned out the glovebox a little bit.

Any drain on a battery for a long period of time will drain your system. Even your radar detector will do it. Even an aftermarket anti-theft system will do the same thing. It needs to get the power some how. Luckly its an easy fix, just unplug your detector and keep on parkin. My truck sat for a few months w/o the batteries hooked up and I plugged them in and it fired right up. I have the NeverStarts from WalMart. They were in there when I got the truck.

So how do I go about finding out if I have a drain on the system. I know funding it won't be easy but first I need to know if there is actually a drain.
