Strange brake problem, pedal sticking down?
My brakes work fine but if I lightly apply the pedal it'll sometimes stick down a little.
If I push the pedal hard and create a bit more brake pressure it comes back up like normal. I can also just lift up on it lightly with my foot and it will release.
I tried lubing the pedal assembly but didn't help. Any ideas? Is there a spring or something to assist the pedal coming up, or is my master cylinder or vacuum pump going bad?
Front brakes are fairly new, havn't checked out the rear brakes yet.

What did you do when you swapped the rear? Do you need to bleed the brakes again?
Also something else to consider

They're cheap... around $20 from LMC if I remember right. Not too terrible to replace... just remember to stretch out your back before you start lol. There's a few write-ups on here about it. Worth looking at it nothing else, because if that is the problem it will continue to get worse.
Good point JT
I forgot about that- reps sent

Mine did that last summer actually... don't know if weather has any factor... probably not, but anyways, once winter hit, it started sticking further down, and eventually the clutch stuck too. It actually got to the point where I could push my brake pedal down and take my foot off the pedal and the truck would stop itself (cruise control for brakes?). Anyhow, I waited until spring and changed them out in about 45 min-an hour. Of course, that lead into doing a hydroboost conversion and giving me even more ideas.

I had the same problem with my truck. after replacing the booster, master cylinder, and bleeding the brakes I still had the issue. But I noticed that when I remove the peddle from the booster the peddle was really hard to move and was almost grinding, so I pulled it out and loosened it with a hammer and penetrating oil. needless to say I feel stupid for spending money on such a simple issue. I would suggest pulling out the peddle assembly and trying that first before spending any money.
