Panel on Craigs list

Here is a panel for sale. But personally I think it is steep. Located in Portland oregon. 1951 f1 ford panel truck

Nice to see another panel truck lover. I have a 51 and 52 both are projects also built and sold a 49 and 51 in the last 3 years and scrapped several. The panels were well used and it is tough to find one that is worth saving. I'm about to tackle replacing the rear quarters on the 51.

Mine has been a challenge, this is my first build and I am not a young guy anymore. Had my panel 10 years now, Its been 2 year since I was working consistantly on it. this summer I made more time, Trying my hand at body work. Its tougher than it looks. My rear doors got me worried, They are pretty shot.

Rear doors are the worst. I was working on the rear doors of my 51 today. One door fits well and the other is an eighth inch low and a quarter of an inch away from the jamb. There is very little inside access on the left door and none on the right so getting at dents is rough. I've got enough junk doors that I am going to weld in an access hole to match the left side by cutting it out of another door. No adjustment on the hinges makes for a head scratcher. I can bolt 3 doors into the same position and each one fits differently. Time to get creative.

Rear doors and original driver's and passenger seats are the toughest parts to find for a Panel truck.

I also own a 51 and 52 Panel trucks. I've also owned a few 48-50 Panel trucks that were used up for parts and the rest parted out.

I needed a set of replacement doors on my 51. I ended up buying a 48 Panel truck for one rear door a few years ago. I bought the other rear door from a guy in a L.A. about a year ago for $75. It's a bit rough, but not rusted through. I'd rather have dents than rust through.

The Sandy, OR truck looks to be much better choice between the two Panels for sale.

I have spare front Driver and passenger doors, I thought may be I might trying to cut the bottom out of 1 door to repair the barn doors. Anyone try this? Might be over my head.
