i have an 87 bigfoot edition ranger. the window motors are very very slow to roll up the glass. the rear window will not go up at all unless the engine is running. any ideas as to how to fix these motors? also i would like to find the original factory type decals for the sides of the truck. and one more thing, i am wishing to replace the front D28 and rear 7.5" with a D44 and 9" out of an early bronco. anyone ever done this type of swap and can tell me what is involved. i am pretty mechanically inclined but was wondering about the pitman arm, steering linkage, etc. thanks for any help.

 

87 Bigfoot Ranger?! With electric windows front & BACK? This some kinda prank post? Anyway, have you checked The Ranger Station - Your Ultimate Ranger Resource & others like that yet? As well as browsing through the links above for user rides & such.

 

no its not a prank. its real. its called a Bigfoot Cruiser. only made em for a couple of years. they are rare as hen's teeth and even harder to find decals for.

 

We can't post exact sources to online stores not approved my moderators, but Google for truck parts & you'll find 1 of the best - for much more than just our trucks. Then again - NEVER have I ever heard of a Bigfoot version... As for the motors, probably a lot like cleaning & repair of transfer case motors & starters, which you can find here, on the link I posted earlier & elsewhere. Shoot, should be Youtube vids by now on this stuff.

I know some years you could have a special package built by a 3rd party.

 

yes it was an out of the factory thing. it was done somewhere in missouri??? not exactly sure. i've only seen 2 other than mine around this area which is east tennessee.

 

the stacks were my doing though.
