Transfer case leaking from connector?

I pulled out my transfer case to rebuild my transmission and when I unplugged the electrical plug going to the shift motor of the T case transmission fluid started dripping out of it. I am assuming this is not normal. Is there a seal or something that has gone out? The T case has been shifting normal.
