Run a fuse tap in wire from the fuse box on the passenger side under the dash back to the amp, from fuse #44 I think, works great, no static, on power up.

 

So, if I get this straight...

New 10 gauge fused wiring from the battery for an always hot power

New 10 gauge ground, short length

New 10 gauge from fuse block #44 (part of the upfitter switches)


Or are you guys using fuse #44 for both the AMP's remote and always hot connection?

If 10 awg is the recommended gauge for your amp, then you only need that for the power/ground.

The amp's remote turn on can be smaller gauge. use #44 for amp turn on only! Also make sure that the fuse for your 12v constant is up near the battery.

Did you try the PAC unit? I sent PAC an email and this is what I got back from them as I have the factory nav as well.

Unfortunately the AOEM-FRD24 would not be compatible in the 2011. You can use our SOEM-4 but it will need to be hardwired into the system. It is not plug and play. This would be the only option for this vehicle. Thank you.

Hello everyone new member here. Just finished installing two kicker comp shallow mount 10's behind the rear seat of my 2011 f250 crew cab. I'm using an alpine mono block 800 watt amp at 2 omhs also using an audio control crossover it took a lot of work getting the box to fit and let me tell you it's a tight fit but still ended up with about an inch and a half of space between subs and back of seat. The only thing I didn't do is take pics of everything. I have never thought of running kickers and boy was I impressed these things rock plenty loud. Weather it's rap rock country or what ever it all sounds awesome I'm using a sealed box. Very very happy with my new rig.
