John, I'm proud of you! This is a major milestone. The work looks great and I know you'll be happier with it when it's all done.

Bodywork??... That chassis is too purdy for bodywork..

Nonetheless, getting rollers on it is a big step, it gives you momentum..some thing to look at,admire and build up the energy for the next big task Congratulations!. A couple of years back I went to Street Rod Nat's in York ,Pa...hoping I might come across a good deal at such a large event on 4 wheels and tires..sure enough, worked out a deal (nothing fancy mind you).. the saleman asked me if it was a "roller",.. the wifey says from behind my right shoulder "No!" So I answered her with a "well..it is NOW!" as I handed my hard earned cash over the counter LoL!

Putting the pressure on, huh, John? Now that you are back in harness it looks like I'm gonna have to stay on my truck project, in spite of the fact that school starts Monday.

My goal has been to get the once red truck back on the road on or about the same time you got yours road ready. So there was no pressure. The newly green version of my truck isn't in the same league as that handsome chassis tho'. Very nice work, indeed.

You wouldn't believe how nice my rebuilt stock front end steers.... just a thought. I'm no 'fenders.

trying to keep up, himmelberg

just a general question for the group...

while reattaching the 300 or so lost pieces to the newly painted frame I'm noticing that no matter what I do I'm inflicting scratches and nicks on my pristine finish... I walked by it the other day and a 2" scratch appeared magically on the frame rail... I was 6' away !!!

anyone got any suggestions on how to prevent this ???? it's quite frustrating

later

What paint did you use on the frame?
