I finally have gauges!!

I have been wanting to get gauges, just didn't want to spend the money. After a 260 mile round trip with a 30ft goose neck, and the gf holding onto the snap-on scan tool to watch trans temp. Since that is the only vital temp that it moniters. On the way back she tells me to just order the gauges. She says use some of the money we had been saving for us. So the next morning I ordered new Autometers.

Jim (megawatt) invited me to come out to his place and he would give me a hand. Would have done that but realized it was over a 5 hr drive one way.

Installed today. Tested and found that the trans temp and pyro didn't work. Found that one of the wires had came off the back of the trans temp gauge, reinstalled, fixed. Contacted megawatt what pyro gauge should read at idle. Mine was not reading correctly. Deceided to remove heat shrink that was supplied for the connections by the sensor, was installed per instructions. Tested, now it works. Reheat shrinked sperately. The sealant in the heat shrink must have shorted the wires.

Now she will not have to watch the scan tool.

Here is the pic. The top hole is for a outside air temp gauge that I ordered. I tracked the package, it was on the truck, but I guess the driving didn't want to drop it off.

Looks good Jason. Gauges get addictive, you'll want more...
Good thinking on the 4 gauge post. I should have done that myself.
Now your girl can do other things with her hands...

Glad that you now have them and they are installed. I was glad we got the issue figured out too.

Thanks everyone.

I ordered them off ebay. I ordered them individually. Cost about $350 including the air temp gauge and sending unit.
