+1^ If you leave the resonator and then run an aftermarket muffler, you will not tell much difference at all. No resonator with the muffler delete was to loud for me, but it did sound good.

You guys are the best... thanks! I'll update next week after it's done. Going to remove both at first and replace with slip pipes in case I want to go back.

I was just reading your thread and thought I would chime in. Magnaflow makes a true cat back exhaust system for our truck's I have it on mine. It deletes the resonator all together. Also it sounds amazing. It is sold as a complete kit that includes a muffler and tip.

That certainly looks good. Did you have to weld that exhaust hanger on? It just doesn't match the rest of the systems good looks, and for 700 it should put itself on, especially when a free muffler delete sounds so good. I would like to hear one in person, because you can't really tell what they sound like through a video.

The whole thing was well thought out no mods whatsoever. Hanger included. Everything bolts up very nicely as if it was a factory item

Sorry for not posting the update i promised. The Shop I took it to couldn't do it, Tail pipe is 3.5" and was all bent anyway. He really didnt have the resources to bend 3" or 3.5" and I really didnt want to have to buy a new tailpipe sooooo back to the drawing board. That magnaflow system is slick! I looked into that one but unfortunetly dont have the coin for one. So I'm going to make my own, have it fall apart and have to buy that one anyway...

So I ordered 2 Stainless 45's and a length of 3" stainless off of Ebay and I'm going to order this system next and piece it together:

Ford F150 F250 07-15 Truck 2.5" Mandrel Dual exhaust Glasspack muffler W/Tip

Only thing I'm not happy about is it not being stainless... We'll see how it sounds.

Chris - How about a pic of where it connects up front? Looks like it replaces the big front resonator... Is that piece stainless as well?

Do you remember part #? was it #19174?

Yes it does replace the large resonator I'll have to get back at you on the pic but it basically just had flanges on the front that bolt right up to the factory flanges

I looked it up on their site... Nice piece. How do you like the sound? I'd love to hear it.

I personally love the way it sounds. Everybody's opinion is different tho. I'll try to figure out how to load a sound or video clip

Same system I have and yes it sounds great. I posted about it way back in this thread but just got flamed for a $700 upgrade on a $50,000 truck. Most guys think chop and hack is good enough rather than having a properly engineered system. More to exhaust flow than meets the ear.

Well I'm pretty sure I didn't 'flame ya' for buying a aftermarket exhaust, suit yourself. But I've posted up about my 'hack and chop' exhaust in this thread too. To each their own.
