Need some input fellas. Just bought the black widow 300 series muffler, going to add a 3 inch to 2.5 inch y pipe to have dual out the back, straight out. question, should I also delete the large resonator in front of the muffler? Opinions? I just want a nice rumble to it but not too quiet.

I am...

also, when I do this mod I'm thinking about having the muffler shop add flanges to the piece of pipe that will replace said resonator, and to the resonator itself...That way I can re-install the resonator in the driveway if I don't like the sound rather than have to make a trip back to the muffler shop..

just a thought..

I was thinking the same thing. That sounds like the plan. I think the black widow is going to be a winner with the dual outlets! I'll update on MPG and so on.

Nice, I couldn't decide between the three. I wanted to go with the Pro Venom 250, but I called Black widow and left and message and email and never a response. What made you choose the 250?

Funny you should mention this. A few days ago my Flowmaster muffler broke at the inlet pipe and separated from the pipe. I wired it up for a temp. repair till I could take it to a shop.
During this time I noticed my mpg went up by 2mpg !!!!!!! I am a hotshot driver and drive a lot so to me this is a big deal. Anyway I took it to a muffler shop and had them remove the muffler and tailpipe and put a turndown on it in front of rear axle. It's louder now with a drone but it sounds bad *** and saves me money. Go figure.

I'm new to this forum, and this is my first official post.

I just sold my 6.4 and bought a 2015 F250 SD with a 6.2L. Like many others I'm looking to upgrade the exhaust, CAI, and do some suspension stuff.
I've already decided on on an exhaust solution, and thanks to 4 different companies the parts are ordered and on the way.
I look forward to gaining some insights on the 6.2.

I ordered the Flow Master Force 2 dual Cat back, but I won't be using the muffler. The dual pipes will connect to a Dyno max ultra flow muffler (2-3" output pipes, 2-3" input pipes). I will then run 3" SS pipes to the dual exhaust pipes after I chop the y pipe.

True dual exhaust.

I would like headers, but Stainless Works headers won't fit the SD, and the Kooks guy didn't now if their headers would fit a SD or not.

Once I have a header solution I'll attach some high flow catalytic converters to complete the project.

CAI has been ordered also.

The exhaust is a tad spendy, but I want performance and sound.

Hmm. Let us hear a video of it once you get the dual setup installed. Sounds interesting for sure.

I'd be interested to hear feedback in regards to interior drone.
