We need someone to bend up some pipes to replace the stock muffler. I was just told by a shop that they wouldn't do it and I needed an exhaust in there. they recommended their over priced glass pack.
I ordered the Flow Master Force 2 dual Cat back, but I won't be using the muffler. The dual pipes will connect to a Dyno max ultra flow muffler (2-3" output pipes, 2-3" input pipes). I will then run 3" SS pipes to the dual exhaust pipes after I chop the y pipe.
True dual exhaust.
I would like headers, but Stainless Works headers won't fit the SD, and the Kooks guy didn't now if their headers would fit a SD or not.
Once I have a header solution I'll attach some high flow catalytic converters to complete the project.
CAI has been ordered also.
The exhaust is a tad spendy, but I want performance and sound.
Let me know where you get headers or who makes them for you, I am interested.
I just did the muffler delete and I'm very happy with it. I'm going to add a 5" 18" long tip to it. I was told by the muffler shop who did the delete said the stock piping is 3.5". So which is it? 3" or 3.5"
Any updates on the Black Widow exhaust? I am getting close to pulling the trigger on the 300 Series.....
After the resonator is all pipe 3"? I need to climb under and look.
Ok so just finished the exhaust. The truck is my fathers, he makes me do all the research and then I tell him what to do.
I think it came out very nice. 2.5 inch dual exits out the back. Put the black widow in and left the resonator. Sounds really nice. Dad says better in person.
Here are two videos, one is a sound clip, the other is trying to show what it looks like but just got cut off at the end. Keep in mind, my dad is a crazy frenchmen and never takes videos. I hope you enjoy!
