X-Plan Pricing

I ordered a truck with the msrp of $60,150 and was given a sales price of $55,350. Based on Yahoo Autos the invoice is $54,220.

I told the dealer I have an X-Plan pin I can use but he said that this price is better than X-Plan. I think its about $1,000 over what the X-Pan would be.

Can the dealer fudge X-Plan prices? I have read about dealers inflating invoice pricing and wondered if they can do the same for the X-plan.

Thanks!

I believe the x plan pricing is on the bottom of the invoice right next to A and Z plan pricing.

I havent seen the invoice since I ordered the truck. But on my purchase agreement has the $55k in the agreed upon price. Now the truck has been changed and no longer matches the one on the agreement so I will have to renegotiate the price. I guess I will just have to make sure I see the ORIGINAL invoice when I pick up the truck.

mvedepo, Did the dealer show you the vehicle order confirmation paperwork? That price sounds a little high. My truck msrp is $46585 X-plan price is $43585, then you take off the discounts $500 + $1000 (the standard shown on line too) then there is $500 for A-Z+X plans and there is also another $500 that was called dealer cash, I was able to talk them into giving me that too. So bottom line, X-plan $3000 off, discounts $2500 total $5500 off msrp. Ask to see the paperwork and the discounts they are giving you. $4800 off of a $60k truck when I am getting $5500 off a $46585 truck just does not sound right. Just FYI the X-plan price is $101.06 over the shown dealer inv. price, then take off the discounts.

Yeah. He didn't put in any of the rebates since we dont know what will be available when the truck gets delivered. He showed me some printout but nothing in detail. Like I said the order has been changed. The truck was changed from a 250-350. So I am going to make sure I see the invoice from the factory. When I mentioned I have an X-plan pin he didnt seem too interested in talking about it. He just said his price will be better. We will see I guess. I don't mind playing the game. But I don't tolerate being lied to. If he resists showing me the X-plan pricing and I find out hes trying to get one over on my I will reverse the deposit on my Visa and walk.

If he won't show you the order then he is playing games. My order sheet showed all the prices including MSRP, dealer cost, X-plan, A-plan, etc. There should be no guessing or wondering what the price is. And yes it is the dealers option to participate in the X-plan pricing but I have never heard of one that didn't, and if he isn't then he should let you know that before you sign your name to a $50k+ vehicle. Personally I would be in there tomorrow clearing this up.

I bought my truck using x-plan about 4 weeks ago. MSRP $58,560 after the 2K rebate and the dealer kicking in discounts, and adding in x Plan my deal was $49,700. So almost $9,000 off the sticker.

I live in the Atlanta suburbs though, and I have 4 Ford dealers less than 30 minutes away.
Don't know how far you are away from ATL but a phone call and an airplane ticket of about 500 bucks could save a bundled. I actually threatened to fly to Memphis, TN when I was bargaining for my very first 99 Super Duty.

You get a nice magazine too. Most gear heads here will enjoy it even if you do not fly.

So I show my membership card to the dealer and they then will give me that pricing?
