Check AdvanceTrac

My wife drives a 2005 Expedition, 165,000 miles, It has generally treated us well (read that I have not had it back to the dealership post warranty). About a month ago, the system alert went to Check AdvanceTrac and the idiot light came on. My code reader shows two codes B2736 Pedal Travel Sensor circuit malfunction and C1285 Booster Solenoid Circuit Malfunction. Have not seen much if anything dealing with these two codes. I have checked all fuses and disconnected the battery for 10 minutes hoping it would reset, but alas the codes and alerts are still in play. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Check out your BPP (Brake Pedal Position) switch to be sure it is connected and functioning. (The Stability Control and Traction Assist models often refer to this switch as a PTS (Pedal Travel Sensor) switch.)

The Booster Solenoid is intragal to the brake booster. It is used by the Stability Control module to electrically activates the brakes when a Stability Control event requires it. Additionally, it is used to apply full brake force if the pdeal stroke is more rapid then normal and Panic Assist is invoked.

Once the light is flashing the Stability Assist module will need to be recalibrated after repairs to the system. It will require a NGS STAR or equivalent. Might be time to renew your relationship with your dealer.

I have not had the time to get back to it. Scanner is an Actron CP9580. Both codes are ABS. When I have the opportunity to work on it again I will post status.
