underdash starter relay pulsing
HELP!!
The starter relay, located under the dash with several other similar relays and many fuses, pulses very fast when throwing the ignition key to the start position. When this occures the starter soleniod running piggy back also gets a voltage pulse and the sound is like a low battery condition when all you get is a clicking noise at this soleniod.
However... If the starter relay is pulled and I jump the voltage source to circuit load (position 30 to 87) the starter (new) cranks crisply and the engine starts if key is in the run position.
What am I missing?
