I just did this to mine too. Used heater ducting and lots of aluminum backed hvac tape to seal. Used some EZ cool around it for insulation. Not sure that helps at all but its cheap and light so what the heck. Cut the hole with a drill and some tin snips. Not pretty but some high pressure air going through intake and out

the magnaflow now...




Also painted the cowl black and now it looks sweet.

Seems to me this wont really gain you anything over the factory cold air intake, except now you are going to suck in leaves, rain, and snow.

I have heard that. Was considering not doing it but the guys who have really dig it. Also, I do not have snow, rain, or leaves where I live so that influenced my decision to go ahead. If I ever move out of the desert I may put the stock intake back on.
