Is anyone going on the north south f100 run in SLO on sat aug 21... if so are there any caravans planned that I might be able to join.

 

I'm not familiar with the North-South run, I'll have to look it up.

But, the night before; Friday night, in Atascadero there's a cruise night. The city shuts down the main drag and a bunch of hot rods cruise up and down the blvd for a few hours.
Then on Sat morning, there's a car show til the afternoon.
Both events are great fun!

Being new to this Ford Truck thing, I'd like to see some of the trucks! I'm about 20 minutes North of SLO.

P.S., there's a 56 Big Duty F900 Firetruck parked along the 101 in a car dealership... Needs some work, but looks good from afar!

And funny enough... it looks like the Atascadero Cruise Night is part of the event! Looks like I'll be seeing a TON of these trucks this weekend! I can't wait!

Does the location change every year? Or is it always in SLO?

I won't be going this year, I did not find anybody that was driving down sat. that I could caravan with....maybe next year!

 

Aww, bummer. I was looking for a firetruck last night!

The 56 Firetruck at the local dealership wasn't in it's place yesterday either... I wonder where it went!

I saw at least a half dozen or more 56 F100s last night on the cruise. Nice trucks!

 

What about those of us with F250s?? ;-) Hope it was fun.

But seriously.. there's no repops (that I've seen) of the hood emblems anything other than F100s...
Good luck finding a F100 that's not lowered! I like them like that too... but I also like them a little taller! (just not F500 tall...)

The F100 show today was really neat. I only got a couple pics before we rushed off to see that I had missed the big hot rod show in Atascadero.

 

I have several friends that drive down from Sac each year to this show. The number of attendees they report seems very small to me. I have never gone and probably never will because of the distance involved to see such a small number of trucks. I have asked my friends every year to bring up a change of venue. I propose that the show location be changed to an alternating schedule. One year they could hold it in Sac and the next it could be in Orange County. My guess is that there would be an increase of at least ten-fold. That would be worth attending and would be a money maker for the clubs! JMHO Jag
