Upper Ball Joint
88 f150 5.0 EFI 4x4 TTB top-hat Hubs.
Anyone tell me how the Upper left Balljoint comes out -or- goes in?
I cant get the old one out of the camber sleeve,- rusted scale.
is it only the Castle nut that holds in the upper??
Or Is it Held in By the Camber Sleeve? or does the Camber sleeve stay in
????
I have the Ball joint PRess ready, but dont want to put it on until Im sure there is nop other nuts holding this in
Any Help would be Very much appreciated
Thanx

I did the ball joints in my D50 a few years ago and I would think yours are the same.
Once you have the big nut off the only thing holding it would be the taper fit. The camber bush stays where it is and the ball joint should come out of it. The best thing is to use a ball joint seperator, a cheap pickle fork type works well. You can also beat on the top of the threads with a big hammer.
You will need a ball joint press to get the joint out of the knuckle but check for a snap ring first.
