There ya go, thats what i used, hpop gear bolt torque is 95lb/ft IIRC, not 150 or whatever it said.

Joey has a nice step by step picture for installing his Terminator, but you could follow the same steps for a regular 17 deg. You could also send the 17 deg pump to Joey and let him tweak it a bit before you did the install.

What year is your truck cause the early PSD you have to swap the gutts from the 17* to your stock 15*pump to make it work

If it's a 96 or 97 than either gasket works, if older than swap it all into the 15* pump. You should think about doin the IPR o-rings also

I think it's due to mounting. If you send both the 15* and the 17* to Joey at Terminator, he'll do it for you for a very good price

okay so first of all thanks for all the help! i want to make sure i get all my homework done before i mess with one of the most important things on my motor lol but i dont really have the time for my truck to be down to send both the pumps to joey or else i would for sure. has anybody else swapped the guts in their own? i bet i can handle it if its not extremely technical just to swap them. also i guess is there anyway to tell exactly what year the one that is a 17* is off of via part numbers or something? i got the 17 from the previous owner of the truck but it might be a 15 that is allready swapped to a 17 cause he was a ford mechanic and i would assume he knew you had to change the guts. just want to make sure i dont tear anymore apart than i dont have to casue my truck is used pretty much daily. once again thanks for the help!

BOBB, you can't just "Swap" the 17* pump in because the 95 pumps have a drainback valve. IF you put the later model 17* pump in without the drainback valve you will have hard start problems. All the oil will drain from the hpop rez. overnight. Joey can swap the guts of the 17* pump into the 95 case, then you are good to go. And just email him about it. It's waaaaaaaay less money than you are thinking. It's laughable actually.

No, you cannot swap the guts. You have to have specialty tools that are specific to these pumps. Believe me, I've tried. And no, your Ford mechanic buddy probably doesn't know about the inside of them either. Not being a jerk, just saying it's a rare few that have ever seen the guts of these things without cutting them apart.

Your on the right path, and you're doing great on your homework. All you need is a few days for Joey to fix your pump up for you, and you'd be good to go.
