well im seeing a few issues,if i recall arp doesnt make headstuds for the 7.3 idi the difference between a single turbo and a twin turbo isnt enough to justify the twin turbo at the boost levels you will achieve.(around 20 -25psi)if you want your motor to stay together anyway,as far as the propane we have had several members experiment with a few setups and the costs werent enough to make it worth while, propane is just another fuel but it is more volatile so it has the potential to damage the engine if fed too much.we have one member who has a very modified motor ,he experimented with propane and didnt notice enough difference to make it worth the wear and tear.if your looking to build a race truck you will be disappointed but if your looking to build a work horse you will be happy.
hope i didnt rain on your parade.we will help you through the process as much as we can ,i would like to see how your project ends up but at the same time i would hate for you to stomp on it once and blow it up.the most you will safely get out of this engine is probably around 300-350 hp

how much boost are you wanting to run?and running a turbo at 8 psi is a night and day difference with power and mileage so you dont need to run gobs of boost to see the benefits, you can have custom headstuds made but i dont recall there being a company specifically making them for the 7.3 idi now the 6.9 they do

if you put a turbo on with 8-12 psi and an open downpipe and a decent air intake you will eat the 95 stroke and i mean just destroy it especially if he is stock

well he does have a supertuner chip in it.... but he can't run it maxed out all the time cause it tanks the mileage lol is it possible to get up to the 20-30 PSI range? and can a hypermax pulse system even push that much? what turbo can?

From what I understand the only way you can safely run that much boost if is you mill the pistons down to lower the compression.... otherwise you blow the head gaskets right out of that thing.

A stock 6.9 can handle max 10lbs of boost.
A stock 7.3 can handle max 15lbs of boost.

Those numbers ARE MAX! and should be kept a pound or two under.

ARP does not make studs for a 7.3, however they do have studs that are modifiable to work.

-Enjoy

i believe dave s said it the best... the only similarities between the idi and the powerstroke is...

1)the blocks came from international
2)they have the same displacement
3)they run off diesel

other than that nothing is really interchangeable from what i remember but if im wrong im sure someone will correct me
