This thread hasn't had any activity in quite a while but I just read the whole thing and it's just as impressive now as the day you did it.
Unfortunately most of the pictures on the last 4 pages don't show up.
Did you ever finish the console? Did you ever finish the factory Topper? Did you ever finish the truck?

Whoa, someone replied to this, sorry bout that.
Answers to ? is, nope, nope and nope.
Console is presently sitting there with all the vinyl that the second supposed interior guy put on ripped off. I gotta rethink that dang thing. I think I'm going to lower it a bit and rework the front end. After being ripped off by 2 morons I'm going in another direction. I think the thing to do is either make one out of alum or just do some bodywork to what I have and paint it.
Cap turned out to be cracked on both front corners. I had my taxidermist fix it bit it just cracked again...needs bracing fiberglassed in to keep it solid. Rear hatch did come out very nice though. Anyone needing parts/glass for a topper let me know. Or just come and get the whole thing for free.
Bout the only thing left is the lights on the rear bumper and the center console. Drive it pretty regular and it had no issues which is the way it was built. Painless and trouble free.

I'm guessing it's been a few years since I had a 4wd shifter and getting kinda sick of looking at the dynamat in-between the seats sooooo, I was on attempt number 3 when I had a epiphany(light bulb turned on). The console in my 2015 SD might work. Called my buddy at LKQ and he just happened to have one that only had 2 cupholders.
Maybe?
Yep, fit like a champ with about 1.5 on each side between console and seats.
The victim:
Used the original brackets...just shortened them up.
Used original seat belt holes.
This put the console a bit far back so I had to add 4 inches toward the front. Looking back I should have just made it one big plate but gotta use what you have.
The front bracket is pretty much the same so you get the idea.
As you can see the previous dummy wrapped tie strap around the lid so I'll be ordering a new one. Probably get new cupholders too as the chrome is kinda sketchy. Just have to reroute the hot wire to my ginormous relay/fuse holder which now resides inside the console and DONE !!!!!
EVEN THE COLOR OF THE STITCHING MATCHES !!!!!!
