did the gpr led today...

and it looks like my gpr is bad. after re-checking my install 5 times, i put a test light on the gpr with te ignition on. the terminal/lug the power wire is supposed to hook to doesnt seem to be producing any power.

thoughts?

Did you replace it and it is still not working?

Yea I had the same problem when I first got my truck the po told me the glow plugs were no good. Come to find out it was just the gpr. I did some research and ppl said the Stancor gpr is much better. It was half the price of the napa one and way bigger and better. I bought mine from mouserelectronics.com. there is a write up on it, I will see if i can find it.

The PO of mine didn't mention anything about Glow plugs or the GPR. It was in a shop when I went to see it and started great. Not so much the next day when it was parked outside in the cold prairie winter.

It lights up when the gpr is on. Instead of the dummy wts light, this shows the gpr actually on.

That just might be the last GPR you ever have to buy, I've had mine since March of 03 and it's still working.

Did your LED come from radio shack? Kinda looks like the ones I used from the shack.

Red is GPR and Green is TC lock:
