8 percent two years ago would be nice. Today I would not care. Maybe a V-10 replacement needs some more work to impress this crowd. The 460 crowd wasn't impressed with the v-10 for the first couple of years. Durability, power, milage, in that order for a workhorse.

 

We have the same trucks based on what you say (you didnt specify gears or tranny or tires though).

Hmm I dont even get into that range unless I'm towing something, or during winter - seems like it really drops in the cold weather / winter fuel blend. My normal commute to work I can usually get in the 14's or low 15's on the dash (averages .7 lower hand calculated). But it seems like it doesnt take much at all to drop that number fast... a few trips into town going from stoplight to stoplight kills it, or a 6x10 trailer with a lawmower on it drops it 3mpg in a blink of an eye.
