Bed stamp Line doesn't line up with cab

I have a 1995 F-350 crew cab. I just removed a utility bed and put on a regular bed. The problem I am having is that the stamp line on the bed sits higher than the one on the cab. Has anyone else had this problem and successfully solved it? I have seen a lot of trucks running around town with the same issue. Is this something people just live with? I included a picture of another truck with the same thing (mine is a little worse)
Thanks for any help or suggestions
Matt

Waitng for the sperts

I think it is a body bushing issue, but I'm waiting to hear from the sperts too. I've thought about adding some large washers...

Sagging body mounts / bushings / rubbers or a bent frame are the two most likely suspects. Although bent frames, at least on the Ford trucks are fairly rare except for the swiss cheese 80-81 models.

Rust prone areas could also have rotted frame mounts as well I imagine, although out where I live that is not a real big issue, but say in Chicago?

Could be a cross-member problem ( rotted out ) or the Cab mount it's self could be rotted, or bent. Sagging body mount bushings is also possible.

Depending how bad it is you could back the rear cab bolt out and use body shims to bring the rear up some to get your body lines to match or be pretty close. However this will be a temp. fix and the root problem should be found. Rust, rot, bent mounts, or shot mount bushings.

Body bushing

Do you think this is a difficult thing to do? Would I have to remove the flooring to get at the top of the bolts or is that necessary? How heavy is the body? Do you think you could lift it enough by hand to get a bushing in?
Thanks

My '89 has a similar issue, but my problem is caused by rotten floorboards and core support.

I will need new floorboards and a core support to fix my problem. Check the mounts near the back of the cab. But if thats your truck in the photo then I doubt they are rotted because your trucks looks very clean. I'm betting the rubber mounts disintegrated.

yes you will have to pull up the floor covering, and as for lifting the body you will need a jack, it really isnt all that light. i would recomend getting a polyurethane body bushing set and replace all the bushings at once

I'm betting its the body mount bushings. Alot of our 80-96 F150s have this issue. Mine does it a little. I have poly mounts for it, but have not changed them yet. I'm worried that it will cause the truck to ride like a brick. Thoughts?

My friend put a poly kit in his chevelle when he restored it. And it seemed alittle firm but after some long trips it got a little better. But it corners better and holds to the road like it never had. I know it's not a Ford but nobody is perfect.
