Hoseph, not to scare you off,but please,I can barely understand your post.It can't be that difficult to spend a little extra time to type legibly. You'll probably get more and better responses.

Don't want to be rude but it's hard to follow your question. I am a very poor speller my self and can read most. I keep a dictionary next to me, you could check to see if your P C has 'spell check ' it will help. Sorry ,not trying to be rude and wellcome to F T E . JIM

Lighten up a little guys, not everybody got good grades in spelling and grammar.
Hoseph, can't help on the mount locations for the 59, but you should be able to use on of the crossmembers offered by Mid-Fifty to install the engine/trans combo, good luck. If you are wanting to keep the stock seat, look for a reputable upholstery shop who can rebuild your's. I don't know for sure, but I don't think there were different springs for 6 or 8 cylinder applications.

well there should be a kit out there to do this swap. 289 is the same as the 302 and the 302 is probably the second most popular motor swap out there (right behind a SBC). If you wanna do it on the cheap and have a welder you would fab up your own mounts pretty easy and i wouldn't sweat the placement too much just put it in the center or offset to the passenger side a little if there is interference with the steering. There is lots of room in these trucks so its pretty easy to get one in there. I personally haven't done this swap so i might be full of BS. Hopefully someone with a SBF powered 59 will be along shortly.
